Even though we’re not in that era, I grew up finding uses and re-uses for everything and I’m glad that many others do as well. I try not to contribute to land-fills any more than really necessary.
And LOL! I agree with Ruthie that I’d RATHER blow my own bubbles in my water (actually make foam with an immersion blender in my almond milk hot cocoa)
