Either heā€™s cheating or June dressed up for a fantasy night out and they donā€™t recognize her.

What does June look like? Do we know this isnā€™t June?

I would think that if neither Elly nor John think itā€™s June, then it most likely isnā€™t June. I like the idea of Elly going over to say hello. I donā€™t think it would be mean, but more of a sign of ā€œweā€™ve seen youā€. If Fred is doing the wrong thing, then he deserves to be uncomfortable. If Fred isnā€™t doing anything wrong, then itā€™s just a friend saying hello to another friend.

They have only seen June in frumpy sweats with her hair a mess, running after kids. She got all dressed out for a night out with her husband and they donā€™t recognize her; Ellie will probably embarrass herself.

Iā€™d go over and ā€˜helloā€™ Itā€™s possible Fred has already seen them anyway.

Iā€™d go over and say hello and ask about his wife. That happened to me once while having lunch with a man I thought was singleā€¦

Well, according to John Prine, Dear Abbyā€™s response would go like this:

Elly, Elly, you have no complaint. You are what your are and you ainā€™t what you ainā€™t.So listen up Buster, and listen up good.Stop wishing for bad luck and knocking on wood.

@JanCinLV: from yesterdayWho are you to judge me? I expect my husband to pay attention to me when we are in public together, not browsing around at other women looking for an upgrade.

The horrible, age old dilemma: should you tell your friend that s/he is cheating or should you stay quiet? If you tell them, they may be angry that you ruined their relationship, but if you donā€™t tell them they may be angry that you werenā€™t honest with them. .cbrsarah, Iā€™m similar to you . . . my SO doesnā€™t look at other people when weā€™re together ā€“ it isnā€™t insecurity, itā€™s just plain manners.

Lighten up. Did it ever occur to you that he might stop doing it if you stopped reacting. Heā€™s not embarrassing you, you are. Heā€™s just behaving as a normal male would.>>>>

You meant to say a normal Jackass, right?

@HowDuck, I think that actual ā€œepisodeā€ happened as someone saw Lynnā€™s husband. I never had that problem because my X just flirted (must have thought women were attracted) but he only annoyed and embarrassed me. He never actually went after another woman until after our divorce when I met my lover and refused to even speak to him on the phone.

I definitely think John and Elly should go over and say ā€œHiā€ to good olā€™ Fred and let him know that (if he is, indeed, cheating on June) heā€™s been caught!!!!! But you just never know. Itā€™s also possible they may find out itā€™s one of the 3 following scenarios instead:

    Ā

1.) Itā€™s not really Fred; itā€™s just someone that looks like him.

    Ā

2.) Itā€™s really June in that sexy get-up for a ā€œFantasy Date Nightā€ after all ā€” they just didnā€™t recognize her wearing a dress, high heels, wig and make-up.

    Ā

3.) Fred and June have split up/divorced and itā€™s not been announced to their friends yet. (Saw this plot line on an old ā€œRoseanneā€ episode ā€” only it was a woman friend the Connors saw out on a date in a restaurant with another man instead of her husband.)

    Ā

(There would have been a 4th ā€” she could be a sister, niece, cousin or some other relative ā€” if it hadnā€™t been for the ā€œnibblingā€ part.)
