I actually think it’s okay if she wants to wear the wig – or not wear it. It’s one thing to tell a kid not to let other people get to you; it’s another to have to put up with staring. Annie’s tough, but I bet she sometimes wants to just blend in.
I think way back when they bought the wig, she wanted one just like Lila’s hair. Not sure though because it has been quite awhile since they bought it.
It’s a mother’s job to raise her kids right and some days that means bringing their “self-esteem” down a notch. Usually the kids whose moms are more concerned about self-esteem than raising responsible, good people are the bratty, self-centered ones.
I’m glad she’s wearing the wig…finally. I personally hope she continues to wear it till her own hair grows back (I mean she’s been in remission for more than a year).
