No I think to put it mildly a disciplinary problem..

sometimes i wonder if it be ok, to lower the voting age. since all the decisions we grown ups are making will affect those people later. for example, taxes, debt, spending cuts, wars, etc…

Reminds me of an episode of “Sliders” in which they traveled to an alternate Earth where the voting age was lowered to 9.Because adults were “dominating” the job market, the candidate that kids eventually elected made retirement mandatory at 30.

Still so young he thinks voting can change anything.

@AuburnStadium, your mom is right that most people aren’t fully mature by age 18. But then again, all too many people are never fully mature, and still they vote. Honestly, I don’t think there would be any harm done by lowering the voting age arbitrarily, as long as the kids could vote without their parents being in the booth with them.

Come to Wisconsin! They let anyone vote! Well here and Illinois…lol

How old do most states say a child can be and decide which one of their natural parents they’d rather live with if they are divorced from each other?

Seems to me, if a kid’s old enough to be mature enough to make a decision like which parent would be best, they’ve got a good a grasp as any adult as to which candidate would be best to run their country.

Maybe tie voting underage with grades in school. >^..^< Or state ID card. That way anyone old enough to get a driver’s license is old enough to vote. Either way, it’s trusting them with human lives!

I’m just sayin’.

When I was a toddler, my father used to take me into the voting booth with him and he’d try to explain what he was doing. When I got a little older, he gave me the pencil and pointed to the spaces and let me mark them. Thanks to him, I learned to take voting seriously from a very early age.

Hilarious. Hilarious use of language. Sometimes I wonder if he starts w/ the punchline and goes backwards. Either way I’m a fan and addicted to this comic strip.
