BTW, it is easy to cherry pick the horrible aberrations in the Quran and the nice parts of the Bible and conclude that Islam is a religion of hate and Christianity one of love. But then it is also extremely easy to cherry pick the atrocities presented in the Bible (in particular but in no way limited to the Old Testament) and the extremely beautiful passages of the Quran and conclude exactly the opposite. I was raised as a Catholic, and went to a Catholic school. (Awesome Benedictine priests, BTW, I owe them a lot). But later in life I started to really read the Bible carefully, without excuses and rationalizations, and realized that Judaism and Christianity are based on such abhorrent and despicable principles that there was no way I could stand behind them. (Islam is no better of course).
