many years ago: Two kids in backyard 3 and 4 years old. four yr old stung, 3 yr old told to not touch (area of suspected nest) of course she touched. The result was the bees following us into house and (after grabbing purse and kids) we headed out the front door. there were still insects on younger, the one who had actually touch nest, trying to sting her through a heavy sweater. The curious thing was I didn’t get stung. the kids 4 yr old the first victim had one. and 3 yr old had most. We used a pay phone at end of street to call Grandma to come get us and stayed over night. PS: My Brother checked house and removed insects.

This reminds me of a Tom and Jerry cartoon, back when they were still good and before Chuck Jones cheapened the franchise.

I wonder what will be after him while in the water?

Typically, bees will wait ’til you resurface for air, then strike.

Kids, don’t do this. The bees will wait for you to come up and then sting you.
SquidGamerGal 12 months ago
Fun fact; jumping into water will NOT discourage bees! They’ll actually wait for you, knowing you’ll have to come up for air eventually!
