Beni will clearly grow up to be a Real Man, for better or for worse. Maybe you should take your popper to the popper repair shop, Alice….

When I was five I saw some guys smashing my family’s mailbox. I went and told my parents they were ‘fixing it’.

But if identical particles of matter & antimatter meet it’s the end of everything. Don’t touch that hammer.

Beni learned the craft from the CarTalk (the guys happen to retire this month) school of car repair: squirt it with a water gun, and whack it with a hammer.

As soon as I saw that distinctive Pop Bang in the second panel, I knew there was something higgledy going on with the matter-antimatter matrix. But you really can’t tell if it’s piggledy too, without having a proper look.

This strip makes me so grateful that my kids’ popper broke. Never seen it happen this way, but the spring popped out and is now in with the little balls. Great part is that my youngest still loves pushing it around, but now it’s SILENT.

It wasn’t my favorite either, but it was a lot better than most everything in the 3rd season.
