I believe it is decomposing outgassing from the shoes. Only the methane portion is odorless.

Love the details: the simple but elegant turn of Alice’s body to show her walking away and back, and the smoking gun – her hand. Such brilliance, lost too soon!

I love the effect of the luminous, transparent “BLAM”!We used to zap each other as kids all the time – my sister called herself “Shock Witch”.

My mom fried our Atari 2600 when she walked across the shag carpet in the fuzzy purple hippopotamus slippers we gave her for Christmas and touched the switch. POW!

This is why we can’t have nice things… such as fuzzy, comfortable socks made out of guncotton.
