Richard Thompson is the funniest of all comic strip writers. The creator of Calvin and Hobbes rates second in my opinion. Cul de Sac has a sweet whimsical quality and the way Alice’s personality sets off her brother’s is classic. :)
Oddly enough, this is going on – which is allowing me to check off “What the hell is going to happen next?” on my to do list. https://moon-child.net/infamous-krakatoa-volcano-has-just-erupted/
My sister was a night owl, hated going to bed. We were pre-schoolers when she decided we were going to run away from home and directed our preparations including packing our little suitcases and hiding them under the bed. She got me up in the middle of the night and we let ourselves out of the house which was, I might add, way out in the country- no street lights or neighbors. I quickly decided that it was way too dark, we didn’t know where we were going, and home really wasn’t that bad, and went back to bed. My sister, brave soul, took off down the gravel road by herself, but had second thoughts after awhile and came back. Mom found our suitcases some time later, but we never told her what we were up too.

We always wrap up our battles well before bedtime.
