I love this strip, but I cannot imagine any of my siblings or me speaking that way about a grandparent or great-grandparent, especially in front of the older relative. Ever. If we did, we only did it once (no, we didn’t get beaten).
This reminds me of how my parents said I was when I was little. Of course around 4th grade I learned people don’t care what you say and I started shutting up with crippling self doubt. Of course now I’m talking to strangers over the internet so maybe I haven’t changed that much.

At least she’s not bringing deviled eggs to throw at unsuspecting restaurant customers.

And who will be brave enough to tell her that health department regulations ban outside foodstuff in restaurants?

We were promised jetpacks but had to settle for flying minivans.

Does sound any different than a “corkage fee” situation to me. Call it a …“turkey tariff” and I don’t see the problem.

Ah yes, it’s already got the makings of a wonderful family holiday dinner.

It’s the kibble that gives it the unique flavor. Tail waggingly delicious.

Petey is getting to close to mixed foodstuffs. This jeopardizes his picky eater status.
