And so the insistent scratching beneath the seemingly ordinary flooring of Blisshaven preschool accompanied by the barely audible, weak and plaintive cry of “uh-oh” elicits an uncharacteristically sharp command nervously voiced by the usually unflappable Miss Bliss….

The tone is great, the art not so much.

In Bolling’s hands, it still looks different, but it somehow is different in a way that doesn’t get between me and the events of the strip and its characters.
