My father works as an educator at a nature center, and I’ve heard quite a lot from him about dealing with little kids, so I’m looking forward to this arc

Oh, no, Dill please don’t. By the way “please stay together” sounds like a line out of every other horror movie as in famous last line.

This reminds me of my youth, when the kids would come to class chewing gum and the teacher would say: “All gum out!” and some kids would put theirs behind their ears, or on the lid of the pencil case, and some would put it under the desk top. Remember the desks that had those tops that you could lift up, and your books would be in that box under the lid? Plus some kids stored their gum inside the math set.

I remember that the most valuable gum was the bubble gum, and it had to be worked, according to the expert chewers, so it was never thrown out, but new wads added to it every so often…

Chewing gum was never on my mother’s shopping list, and we never got into that habit.

When they first fluoridated drinking water, they’d leave the gum there so you could test your teeth.

Poor Nature. It’s hard to compete with a sandy fountain and ABC gum. On second thought, maybe Nature dodged a bullet. Probably better off without these adorable little terrors mucking about.

So much for Nature. And so much for Miss Bliss as leader of the preschoolers: Alice has usurped her and now leads all the kids to water that they can’t drink.

    That must symbolize something profound….
