alice has been watching too many videos of The Who

Alice wants to get into the act or just smash stuff.

Some classical composers do play practical jokes; the “Surprise” and “Farewell” symphonies might be a bit too quiet for Alice. She’d enjoy P.D.Q. Bach.

If the band instructor is Charles Ives, he would definitely welcome Alice.

Back in the 1990s when one of my brothers saved up for his first guitar, a Mayfaire® F slot, and started a garage band with his friends, he HATED when bands would smash their guitars at the end of the performance, yeah THEY could afford it, unlike teens just starting out.

If you’re going to be onstage, gotta give people something to look at. People talk of going to “see,” not hear, some famous act when they’re attending a live performance. For an orchestral concert, I’m the one who pays less for an “obstructed view.” View of what? I know how those instruments work. I trust the players to do it correctly without my supervision.
