What’s one of your ‘I told you so’ moments?

Looks like he tried to fry an unopened soda can.

I believe it was just yesterday when my wife wanted to have copies made of a professionally photographed portrait. I told her it was copyrighted and couldn’t be copied, but it took the photo store employee telling her to believe it. I did NOT say a thing afterwards.

I don’t say I told you so. I just snerk and walk away! He gets the point.

Tony, before we went to America, I was told that driving on the other side of the road was not too difficult until you had to make a turn. It was common for drivers to turn into the wrong lane. I didn’t drive in those days, but I tried to explain it to my husband, who did. “What do you know? You don’t drive”. was his comment. “I know what I am doing.” We got to America. He drove. Turned into on-coming traffic! At least we survived, and I was able to say “I told you so.”

I usually pass on “I told you so” moments as the Little General gets PO’d if I verbalized them.

Hubby developed a BAD cough and I told him to go to the doctor. (What IS it about men and doctors?) “What’s he going to tell me? I have a cough?” I said if I knew what the doctor was going to say, I’d charge him $50 for the answer. This went round and round, for several days. I finally told him I really thought he had pneumonia. “Fine. Now I know what’s wrong, so I don’t need to go to the doctor.” I suggested he call the doctor before I called the undertaker.

He did, in fact, have pneumonia.

My man is always the one who would be saying it, but he doesn’t. I wind up saying, you were right as usual; I’m the impulsive one, but he thinks things thru.

Our huge set of living room furniture that we have lived with for the past 10 years. I told him it was too big, that we didn’t have enough space, but noooo. Took several years for him to finally admit it was too much furniture. Finally scaled down to a couch and ‘snuggle recliner’ (oversized recliner). In just 7-9 weeks I’ll have furniture that fits our living room.

That must be what the neighbors were grilling earlier. I had to close the windows..
