Computers and robots apparently will ‘produce’ the art while you take out the trash and do the heavy lifting. It was supposed to be the other way around.

HAL is just the letters before IBM. Clarke was not a fan of the monopolistic corporation. Neither were the feds, who sued and pressed IBM to change their business practices.

My computer doesn’t do everything for me, and I don’t want it to.
