My grandmother’s house had a special scent. I think part of it was Dial soap.

Mine always had the bold aroma of cooking. She always made something yummy for our arrival.

Mine had a faint hint of Ben Gay about her.

Mine had violets and baby powder.

Mine smelled like Walnuts she used the juice of hulls boiled on her hair!

My German grandmother always smelled of 4711, and my grandfather smelt of cigars and leather.

My grandma always had a nice scent. She faithfully used Oil of Olay, the old original pink lotion in the clear jar with black lettering and the black top. Remember thati?

And now that you mention “Evening in Paris”, I too remember that. I wonder if they still make that?
