Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Well, pardon me, but itâs time we heard you Calling Dick Tracy, Honeymoon! For what have you been waiting?
Under the constraints of a mandated 4-week arc duration, our great team pretty much has to wind up this DVD caper next week, then weave into the Panda storyâŚ.
âFor what have you been waiting?âDo we have a grammarian here?Crusading for correct use of words is like rolling âa marble block to the top of a hill only to have it plunge back down as soon as it reaches the crestâ.
Mike Curtis â Just wondering, back during you days in NO did you ever get the chance to meet James Lee Burke? Also wondered what you thought about his Dave Robicheaux novels?
As the father of 12&1/2-y-o fraternal twin daughters (and a DT fan since the 1950s), I get a kick out of the details such as the flowers on the backpack, the nail polish from July 14, etc.
The attention to detail in both the writing and artwork make the strip a joy to read once again. As for bringing back dead villains: Who cares. Most readers today are not as old as me and donât remember them anyway. Letâs let the modern generation enjoy these Gould creations. This is a comic strip, after all, and anything can happen. I donât find resurrected criminals any more fantastic than a little girl who is half alien. Thanks, Joe and Mike for making me anticipate each dayâs strip.
I like the interjection of the Mr. Crime story within the context of this story. It is a good tease for what is to come. However, when this story begins in earnest, I hope these interjections are recapped. When Locher was writer, missing a day was no big deal because he was so repetitive. Now, if you miss a day you can miss a big part of the story. I find the pacing a tad fast but prefer it over Locher. Having known some comic artists and writers in my time, I also am aware that it takes a bit of time to get into the groove with a new or revitalized strip. So far, any complaints I have are totally negligible. A year ago, this board was nothing but complaints. Now any complaints posted are mainly nit-piks. Joe and Mike have completely renewed this strip. The proof is shown daily.

Of course, if the bad guys find her, they can take the wrist thing off and leave it somewhereâŚ

Dick can console himself with one thought: some day, Honeymoon will have a kid. Live long enough and you see justice served . . .

Itâs just a detail, but I like the way the dotted balloons denote whispering.

ââŚyou are so grounded.âHoneymoon might be a bit headstrong, but she seems to be well-grounded already in some respects. :o)

I bet that before Tracy arrives, the door of the truck will be opened and Honeymoon discovered.
Also, regarding kids getting into this type of trouble, if we didnât have them, then the Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Junior wouldnât be written.
