Frizzletop was a one armed pepper pot of fun back in the 1930’s when we first met her. She hung out with a guy who was a gambler and a loser but she tried to keep to the straight and narrow. She did some time, she went blind for a while, etc. but it’s all worked out in the end. So here she is now…

Okay guys, I’m confused. Which one of you is correct?

Frizzletop! . I am so pleased to see her. We are seeing so many of the old friends that I have met in the Chester Gould’s Complete Dick Tracy volumes. Thank You Mr. Staton, and Mr. Curtis!

Frizzletop was an Army Nurse who lost an arm when the Japanese took the Philipines. She fell in with the gambler, train wrecker, and general bad egg Tiger Lily, and she helped Tracy send him to jail.

Urgent? … well just you wait & see!

You mean the same Frizzletop who helped DT when Cal Bullet and his spies tried to take over America with poison gas? When you get old like me sometimes the women in your life start to blend together.

Old friends reunited! But if Frizzletop’s urgent message has anything to do with the Tracy abduction, she’s too late, except to put what’s left of MCU on the trail….

It’s obvious Pat is happily surprised to see her so even without the back-story, we would know she’s one of the good guys. Now she might be the most important clue MCU has to finding Tracy. She sounds like she’s going to be another terrific character. Good luck with this storyline Team Tracy, you set the bar pretty high with the last one!

Wonder what she looked like as a newborn baby, such that her parents decided to name her Frizzletop?Worked out well, as it turns out…just like with so many others in the Tracy universe. Wish it were true in the real world…I couldn’t understand a thing my baby said, so I named him “Mumbles”. But when he got older, it turned out he could speak quite clearly, so now his name makes no sense.

Based on her reappearance nine days ago, I wonder if she monitors underworld and police activity somehow online.

Am I crackers or wasn’t there reference to mole in Evidence Room…a 2nd mole in addition to Teevo? And what was Mr. Crime’s possible plans for Vera Alldid that were mentioned @ the end of Kadaver’s storyline last Oct?

i dont remember mr crime having plans for vera alldid, but like i have said, ii only came in at the very end of the kadaver story where dick was strapped to teh pendulum so i probably missed it

Thank heavens someone has noticed that Dick Tracy is not in this hospital! Will they begin to wonder what happened to him? When Tess arrives at the hospital and learns that Dick isn’t there, they’ll start searching roon-by-room…

Trivia: Frizzletop originally appeared in Gould’s Tracy from July 8, 1942 until April 8, 1943.

I wonder if they will connect Frizzletop to the Flattop family.I’m surprised it wasn’t done before.

Frizzletop (1942) Lost an arm in the Phillipines – World War 2She first appeared back in the US, in the Tiger Lilly case, then ion the follow up Pruneface story, and finally the Nifty tale with Jonny Wreath his son. So she had been a character in the strip for close on 2 years.Her HAIR at that time was silver grey. But guess the current colorist - doesn’t know that. ;)

I am still wondering why Tess didn’t immediately follow the ambulance that Dick was in?

….here’s a storyline for you; Johnny Adonis knew Tracy was going to the hospital; had him kidnapped to take a few “incriminating” pics with Ms.Stilletto while he was still out of it…..then returns him to the hospital, a furious Tess now all his, ha ha. Ok, to get serious now, ummmm……Frizzletop helped bring down Cal Bullet? I thought Pruneface did that, actually…..poisoned him with his own gas…..I don’t remember those two interacting at all….
