Yeah, the “blending in at the convention” thing didn’t work at all.
The fan with the glasses in panel 1 needs a comb, I think. I like the angle of Tracy’s hand in panel 3 much better than the “hand growing out of his neck” pose that he has often been shown in in recent years.
Well one assumes they’re off at last, and in a vague northerly direction - without any specific destination . . . and fortunately there on the go, a Clew (or rather ‘hunch’) ‘pops’ into Tracy;s mind . . . For it’s daylight now, couldn’t wait any longer on those “reinforcements” - so it’s Sam, and Tracy with a “Flathat” after them. (‘Explosions’ - apparently do ‘strange’ things to apparel ?)Lizz not seen with them - likely remained behind (?) searching for the remainder of the cast members, those still missing (be they, dead? Or alive?)
Many had been asking what happened to the new Moon Maid (?), and with her unusual Chimera ‘make up’ - a Monstercon - now up ahead, is as good a place as any to Look ? And something does ‘catch your eye’ in panel 2 (antennae?) Timmy’s FrankenMindy ? Semi disguised there (?) and looking actually poised to pick Gruesomes hip pocket ? Confirming ID needed ? Citizens arrest up ahead ?A big stretch ? Everyone’s been “speculating” for the last few days, it may not be worth much, but I’ve got my Joust (or 10 cent speculation) in !.
Sarah Karloff is a wild card here, glad her image has been includedTomorrow we’ll see how all these scenarios really start to play out . . .
Hey, Dick, you want Locher Auditorium, not Locher Stadiium! You may end up in the wrong place….But seriously, Sara Karloff has frozen Gruesome in his tracks and completely distracted him from his escape plan; maybe Einstein will snap him out of it.
Morning, Tracyville!I’m certainly enjoying this story, but 9ChickLuannbean’s comment has some merit. A simple confrontation between two persons at a con is hardly enough to constitute a “disturbance” that needs to be called in to the police.
What “disturbance?” Two people arguing at a monster convention?
If you’ll observe what happened on Sunday, Gruesome actually put his hands on the guy in the plaid jacket (with the Coke-bottle glasses and unkempt hair) and it looked like he was about to strangle him. Clearly, there was a physical confrontation until Sara interrupted. The plaid jacket guy has beads of sweat on his forehead, a look of fear in his eyes, and he’s clutching at his throat. The fact that “Hey! It’s that Karloff guy!” was shouted on Saturday indicates that a crowd is starting to gather and the situation might have escalated, if not for Sara’s intervention.
WOW! What a timely report. since in “TRACY TIME” its only been a few seconds since he ataced the guy who called him karloff and then got reprimanded by karloff’s daughter
*What “disturbance?” Two people arguing at a monster convention? *-——-Gruesome grabbed the fan, and was obviously going to hurt him until Ms. Karloff stepped in. Behavior like that gets security’s attention, and sometimes they call the police. (Oh wait. I said that yesterday.)But why am I explaining this? You just want a reason to complain.Merry Christmas!
…hmm, does B.K.’s daughter get paid royalties for this?
Mike Curtis wrote: “Carole and I are friends with Sara Karloff and she gave her permission to use her father’s trademarked likeness.” He didn’t say whether there was any money involved, but it seems like there might not have been. It was nice for her, I’m sure, to be able to appear in the strip as herself.
It wasn’t the commotion itself at Locher Auditorium that caught the police/Tracy’s attention, but the fact that it involved someone who looked like Boris Karloff.
Yeah, I guess the Popo dispatcher could have latched onto the description of the Boris Karloff-looking character and connected the dots. Lots of fruitcakes there…..
It’s a longshot, but could an APB have been put out on "Boris Karloff, " which the convention’s security knew about and called the police when the scuffle broke out?

Two frames from yesterday plus one with a radio call. Not exactly proceeding “apace.”
