Good morning John, either you’re more comfortable drawing the strip or I’ve become used to your style because today’s the first time Sam hasn’t given me the hebejebes! LOL!I like the way you’ve quietly shown Tracy settling in for a long night by loosening his tie! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

If any of you guys are driving distance from Tupelo Miss I’ll be at Tupelo Titan Con this weekend. You can come tell me in person how my version of Sam looks like Howdy Doody as a strung out pimp.

Only three days left…any guesses on who the killer is? (I’m assuming that the suicide angle isn’t buying it here.)

Hey guys, I noticed that Sam is chewing toothpicks rather than smoking, but a LOT of the “suspect” characters are smoking. So I’m wondering if that is going to be a key clue in this mystery?

The linework reminds me of Rick Geary’s. Not keen on it, though, because Dick’s head looks like a flatiron, or maybe a carpenter’s plane.

@JohnLucas I just noticed that your work on this strip is featured in “Great April Fool’s and Easter Comics” on this site. I wonder if they thought it was a parody.

The home page for the strip such as http://www.gocomics.com/dicktracy/ now links to an overview page and you have to click a link to see today’s strip. :( It seems less convenient to me.

I actually really like this art style. it’s fresh and it pops! I also really like how wonderful female characters look in this style, just from the couple of panels we’ve seen for Lenore Lovecraft so far! I kind of wish Honeymoon Tracy had a role in this Minit Mystery, I’d love to see how she would look in this style! Anyway, really enjoying this!

Today’s artwork was pretty good, and really helped moved the narrative along.

And Lenore in panel 2 (or thought-bubble 1-A) is very flirtatious indeed, an accomplished seductress for sure: I like how she lightly touches George’s hand with her own!

Not yet clear who might be guilty of murder, though Tracy seems to think that “the Beast” is capable of it. And, yet, I wonder if Sam and Tracy’s exchange in the last panel (call it 2 or call it 3, but just call it) isn’t a bit of classic misdirection….

Taking something someone already said a step further… it was the cigarettes that killed him…
