Well, Robert is well familiar with the background material, it seems. Since he’s playing the character that is in the books, it makes sense. I guess, though, that “Derby Dugan” is, or was, a real comic in the Tracy universe. The books, then, would be the story of how it came to be.

an autograph hound… and a kind of a nice guy, it seems… talented, too… I don’t even see him as being an annoying pain-in-the-ass as he seemed to be intimated at the start… just an eager kid trying to please…

Robert, it would be best not to bring that Funny Papers book that has all that mildew.

So if we’re just paying homage to the classics, I think it’s time for Ignatz to start hurlin’ bricks.

Robert seems a good young man with true talent and genuine passion about theatre. I like him.

Hopefully better then when Kate Worley autographed a book at a local con, and turned ‘Mark’ into, if I recall right, ‘Mang’.

Well, I guess it was tokenly better than ‘Ming’. Then ‘d have that annoying Gordon fella’ bugging me.

I remember an episode of “Fearless Fosdick” (Al Capp’s parody of Dick Tracy that showed up every now and then in “Lil Abner”) where a villain (I vaguely recall his name as “Coldfinger”, an obvious spoof on the James Bond villain) who used his steel finger as a weapon was foiled by Fosdick’s wielding a large magnet. I wonder if something similar will play out here.

Blank eyes just don’t do it for me…I dunno?

Still waiting for an explanation as to why Acenaux a.k.a. Steelface said on October 4th, "I’m getting tired of this city, people are too nosy. Maybe if he considered cosmetic surgery, the questions about the plate on his forehead would end.

Or maybe the guy leaves his blinds or curtains open and neighbors are peeking through his windows. Probably would be a challenge to cite all of them on the Peeping Tom law.
