Well, Robert is well familiar with the background material, it seems. Since heâs playing the character that is in the books, it makes sense. I guess, though, that âDerby Duganâ is, or was, a real comic in the Tracy universe. The books, then, would be the story of how it came to be.
an autograph hound⌠and a kind of a nice guy, it seems⌠talented, too⌠I donât even see him as being an annoying pain-in-the-ass as he seemed to be intimated at the start⌠just an eager kid trying to pleaseâŚ
I remember an episode of âFearless Fosdickâ (Al Cappâs parody of Dick Tracy that showed up every now and then in âLil Abnerâ) where a villain (I vaguely recall his name as âColdfingerâ, an obvious spoof on the James Bond villain) who used his steel finger as a weapon was foiled by Fosdickâs wielding a large magnet. I wonder if something similar will play out here.
Still waiting for an explanation as to why Acenaux a.k.a. Steelface said on October 4th, "Iâm getting tired of this city, people are too nosy. Maybe if he considered cosmetic surgery, the questions about the plate on his forehead would end.
Or maybe the guy leaves his blinds or curtains open and neighbors are peeking through his windows. Probably would be a challenge to cite all of them on the Peeping Tom law.
Steelface is a bad guy. He uses the inside of his head as a combination pressure cooker, microwave oven and money vault. Of the last, he doesnât like to shareâŚSo he has to be a bad guyâŚ

Good morningâ˘, new love interests ! (per ay-veeâs callout.)
More fanboy stuff but at least Robertâs hero worship folds well into the story.

Hmm, perhaps the sting comes when Steelface wants his nephew to return the favor?

Robert, it would be best not to bring that Funny Papers book that has all that mildew.

So if weâre just paying homage to the classics, I think itâs time for Ignatz to start hurlinâ bricks.

Robert seems a good young man with true talent and genuine passion about theatre. I like him.

Hopefully better then when Kate Worley autographed a book at a local con, and turned âMarkâ into, if I recall right, âMangâ.
Well, I guess it was tokenly better than âMingâ. Then âd have that annoying Gordon fellaâ bugging me.

If Steelhead is a âbaddieâ,it has yet to be revealed.
Everybodyâs talking about LITTLE ORPHAN ANNIEâwhich wouldnever get off the ground today.Look at how WORDY t hat strip was.
With todayâs smaller scale printing, youâd have to read it with an electron microscope.
