well, I had my visit today with my neurologist concerning my multiple discs situation… the whole meeting took about 30-45 minutes with us discussing the entire matter… four years ago, I had spinal surgery done where two rods were placed along with some screws… above and below the screws were the discs that were giving me trouble recently… evidently the discs have shrunk and the only thing that I seem to have is a bit of stenosis above and below where the screws are… long story short, he stated that surgery will not be a thing for me, physical therapy will also not be a thing for me, pain management will not be a thing for me and no epidural or any sort of pain meds will be needed by me… he stated that after a gradual increase of the sciatica and the discs issue over the last five months, my body seems to be slowly mending itself, as evidenced by the past two weeks of substantially subsiding agony… the pain at this moment is gone with only traces on occasional tingling and weakness in my right leg and some VERY mild tenderness in my butt cheek… in his words, it took five months to build up to the agony I endured but now it’s only been two weeks where it’s all disappearing and my body needs more time to get itself back to where it was before this all became an issue… so patient, heal thyself and in time you’ll be fine… so a bit of walking a bit more to strengthen my leg up is in order and the timing is perfect, as the weather is getting better and I will be able to get out more to do some strolling… and if the pain should feel like it’s returning, I’m to give him a call and we’ll take it from there… but for now, he’s giving me 6-8 weeks to see what, if anything, might develop… and that’s it… so it’s a good day, better than what I expected… maybe I’ve finally gotten over this speed bump that my physicals had put in my way… and that is all, folks…
