Morning Leaky, and the rest of Crustwood, to follow soon, I’m sure….
Is this a special town, whose forefathers and foremothers were all siblings?.If so, Burl and Dale are on a level with the rest of the inbred citizenry, rather than the village idiots they’d be considered elsewhere.
If not…. how have they managed to keep their jobs even this far, when you could probably pluck at least 20 far more competent, loyal and eager employees from the Crustwood High graduating class every June? And they’d work for half the pay.
The Find-It is appropriately something none of them will be able to find, if their employers ever realise the above.
Ah, I see….. they’ve been breathing too much indoor air…. cos they can’t get outside.
And Dale’s boss won’t figure this out in a nanosecond. Right. Don’t I remember Dale having to take some unpaid time off last year? Somehow I don’t think an over-40 male should be playing Russian roulette with his job.
@Mikie2 – yeah, I remember that one. Dale was making an answering machine msg for anyone who called while he was out of the office on unpaid suspension or something like that. What the heck does Dale DO, anyhow?
Why do I get the feeling that if I drove though Crustwood my IQ would drop 40 points (which I can’t afford).…Oh look there’s a sign saying “You Are Now Leaving Crustwood”…So where was I?
Good morning all! I just answered Leaky on yesterday. @Susan, I never had a sister, just a spoiled rotten brother about 3.5 years younger who died a few years ago. Like others I sometimes thought they were twins, as I’ve sometimes mistaken one for the other. Got to bed past midnight last night, so I’ll be retiring really early tonight. My BF called about the wedding plans but we chatted about many other things including or health (exchanging blood pressure readings LOL is a strange activity, I know, and I could hear from the whirring that his machine is like mine ;-P
I mentioned last night that I’d still be working, but seniors are not what’s wanted, but he said his boss is more understanding (being himself) and he has a good big customer base (doesn’t even advertise anymore – just a dark print entry in phone books).
Big weekend……goin’ to the Holidome. Raid the breakfast buffet (BYOB……bring your own baggies) and restock their supply of shampoo, mouthwash and lotion. .Good times….good times.
Leaky and Marg, this is for you. Close your eyes and think of this. A lot of honkin’ big shrimp (wild-caught from the Gulf 10-15 ct) sauteed in olive oil, butter, garlic and shallots. Rice (what else?) Crab fingers in same sauce. French bread so crusty it will pull your fillings out. Cold craft beer and hush puppies. Followed by enough boiled crawfish to create a superfund site. It’s enough to make you fall off your Lenten fasting regimen.I gotta go. On my way to Breaux Bridge.
No, Leaky, she just wants to be married (and has one child from each of her former marriages). My other kids are taking her side, but shopping for something I really don’t want is no fun. I think I might just buy some nice white silk fabrics on line and whip up a simple outfit (because I love silk). My kids were all born in the early to mid 60s ;-P

Taking advice from Burl on professional matters, or anything, is tantamount to swallowing poison.
Susan, are you sure Crustwood High even has a graduating class?

What I see in Chicago (forcasts for cities where I have family always on my home page) is 47 for a high Sunday max.
