Well, Patty, it’s like this: your parents both have really bad taste, and are cheapskates to boot. More proof that you must have been adopted.

Burl’s right, we all want a Jaclyn Smith set with anchors and chains on your chest There was a reason it was on sale Joy, its UGLY! Just how many ZMarts are there in Crustwood? We don’t have any here anymore, nobody wanted to shop at one.

In the slightly longer run, good taste almost never costs more than bad taste. It’s not about the money anyway. It’s a rare and wonderful thing and not “snooty” at all, and you know it when you see it It’s real, never fake. My step-mother had it in spades. Just being around her made everyone both feel and be better.

‘One mans trash is another mans treasure" That saying was made for the Penny’s They LOVE trashy things. I had to read the cracker box twice I thought it said trashtics What a name for a Penny snack.

I guess if you can’t have good taste, the next best thing is stupidity so you think you do.

Then again, I suppose we all think we have great taste…and we can’t all be right.

So maybe stupidity is a widespread phenomenon… we’re all blessed with just enough to be blind to our failings.

wait why would Patty ask that. Good taste requires a higher quality so higher costs. I would expected this out of her parents

Good morning crab. Glad to see you up and about. After all that retisina and ouzo last night, I thought you’d sleep in. Great Greek dancing, by the way. I didn’t know you could move like that. Do you know Leaky?

While I enjoy ’ole crabby…. I am a bit worried/concerned…. might his lack of finding humor in “Dinette Set” be an indication that he may actually live a lifestyle exactly like the Pennys and their crew? Maybe that is why he sees this comic as “humdrum” because it is just a reflection of his day-to-day life?

@crabbearGood morning, cb. Refreshing to see yet another “stupid, senseless” comment from you. You must thrive on the negativity that you spout, since it garners so many supportive replies. Have a nice day!

People with very good and expensive tastes die and that is why there are estate sales for fashion, furniture and tool sales.

Goodness, going to a Greek Restaurant does not mean you have to wear a costume! With your legs, I would be careful about wearing a Greek skirt ensemble.

Hmmm. Must be another Jaclyn Smith. A bull wrestler or stevedore by the same name.

It is strange that Patty would ask her parents anything at her age (just making conversation, I suppose). My own parents wore things that I’d never have chosen for them (those Velcro shoes and such) but now I wear some things just for comfort. (I’ll be wearing my home-made shoes for travel this trip). I packed just one pair of 4" heels and my dresses were delivered by former BF to my son’s house, so I’m wearing 1 pair of jeans, packed another with a few tops & my toiletries & vitamins (plenty for 5 days in (1) carry-on).

She’s dressed for action on the deck of some better-to-do’s bay or ocean-skipping sloop: as ballast when needed!!
