There is some logic in this comic, but being courteous is is own reward.

No good deed goes unpunished.

A tragedy. Their rubber pockets wasted. Now their stuck with fillet of former rodeo bull. (Grill marks or spur stripes?) And of course coming up short has nothing to do with who stopped off for a cupcake or three. Burl’s knowledge of what happens when you have manners is strictly academic. He has no practical experience. But he’s been here before and knows not to annoy Chef Bologna. He gets stabby.

I once was able to interview a very big name in my world when I was writing. We were in Vegas, he asked to go to a buffet for dinner. He talked for hours, I got a great story, he filled a bag with rolls, coffee sweeteners, and the cloth napkins. I’m certain he was a multi millionaire.

Burl & Joy love this place because you can eat in the buffet line… Gotta show Timmy how…!

Burl looks (the storm-cloud brow just above his glasses) as though it’s sinkin’ in that he MAY have “shot himself in the foot”, there……….
