Politics: rolls eyes There’s always people who think it’s their God Given Duty to tell other people how to run their lives. The Founding Fathers decided to stick those troublemakers in the middle of a swamp on the borders of Virginia and Maryland. Then they reached Critical Mass and took over the country.

Don’t you love far right/left nut jobs? It makes my ideas look almost sane.

80% of the American people support healthcare reform. The way things are going none of us will be able to afford health insurance without a major overhaul. Many countries which are far more conservative than the US have a public option for healthcare. There are a lot of people who seem worried that we will have a change which will cause them to lose something they currently have. This isn’t true. What is true is that most of us will lose if changes are not implemented. Often those who have the most, scream the loudest. No matter who has a tantrum, the debate will go on. We will have to slug it out until a bill gets through which will benefit all Americans, so that everyone at least access to basic healthcare. I am not old enough to remember the civil rights era very well, but I have heard that it was even uglier and people stuck to their guns and got through it. We now have to have that courage once again. It is the morally correct thing to do. Check out Will Ferrell on the Huffingtonpost in his video speaking up for healthcare executives! I don’t buy the idea that both sides are always wrong. That is something which is said in order to appease others. Read and have an informed opinon. Be civil.

Actually, according to the World Health Organization, we are number 1 in healthcare cost and #37 in healthcare effectiveness. Hooray for us! We’re #37!

Dear Susan001, Go to You Tube to hear “Imagine” performed by the Average White Band, featuring Ben E. King for a soulful rendition of the lyrics.

fine…, fine…, just fine…, I see no unsavoury political arguments or insults here, just disagreeals…, In fact the Relatively calm atmosphere is Rather Refreshing…,

Should I be offended by the remark, “Too little. Too late.”? Nah. It would require energy for me to be offended. And on principle, I don’t get offended by anything that requires deliberate effort. Waste of time.

Here’s my truly good wishes to you all: I hope that when the dust settles, you (I’m a Canadian) will all have a good health care system…

I have a suggestion for those of you who want goverment-run healthcare. Move! Move to one one those nations, and live there as a citozen and see what the truth really is.

    Randyt8,

I don’t want to move. How about if you tell us what the truth really is.
