It isn’t the turkey that gets you — it’s the side dishes.

I think this is the only time I’ve seen uncle Duke without his sunglasses on.

These Zonker-featuring repeats from 1974 being interrupted by yesterday’s new Sunday strip just emphasize how Trudeau’s design for Zonker has essentially been unchanged for 40 years. =)

And they say recreational drugs have no harmful side effects, unlike alcohol and nicotine.

Following up on yesterday’s comments on Pan Am, the trademarks are still owned, by a new company named Pan American Airways Global Holdings. They were planning to start flights in early 2014, by announced May 9 that they’re giving up.

Hunter Thompson was the inspiration for Uncle Duke, much to the chagrin of the gonzo journalist.

I never knew Duke was related to Zonker. Zonker is so sweet. Duke not so much.

There was some controversy over the way GT covered the death of HST. It was great that GT also paid homage to Ralph steadman, the illustrator for hunter Thompson. Hunter Thompson shot himself in the head. Uncle Duke has his mind blown by the news, a short time later.

Honey appears in the hunter s Thompson tribute with uncle duke, saying, I have stumbled into some sort of tribute, haven’t i ? Interesting example of reality finding its way into the comic strip. Yet, uncle duke also turns into some sort of fantasy monster in the next panel, having his mind blown by the news. Anyway, I recommend an internet search regarding hunter Thompson uncle duke tribute.

Getting upset over Uncle Duke is a sure sign of HST taking himself too seriously.

“Some particularly vicious hallucinogens” is surely not mj. And why is Zonk coming home after Thanksgiving rather than before?
