lol go JoanieOnce an obnoxious guy wouldn’t leave me alone, and when he finally asked if he could take me home, I smiled and said no thanks, I knew where I lived, and walked away.

“Go soak your head.” Boy, does that take me back. That was one of my mother’s suggested “dismissal” lines when I was a kid. Haven’t heard it in decades.

Didn’t get a chance to look at yesterday’s strip until now, but I’ve been expecting it all week. My all time favorite, often quoted.

By the time that strip was written that sort of approach was “so 60’s”. Not only is the strip stuck in a time warp, so are those two particular (ly short-lived) characters.
