Since when did an IRS agent become a friend of anyone’s family?

Only Zonker would inquire after, and feel empathy for, an IRS agent.

I really like the IRS. But then again, I like root canal. (With apologies to Chuck Barris.)

Say what you will about Hunter Thompson, and GT really had his fun with him for decades, his obit for Tricky Dicky is one of the funniest and spot on pieces of writing I’ve ever encountered.

I read one of his “Fear” books, and the phrase “Nixoid Philistines” has never failed to amuse me, after almost 50 years.

For 16 years he’s been trying to get money out of Duke. That’s if he can find it.

The problem with Nixon was that he wasn’t a bad president except for the corruption. If he could have just not played the dirty tricks and tried to cover them up he would be remembered as good president.

“I didn’t like how the Corporate Press did their best to rehabilitate Nixon from a crook to a statesman.”.Of course you didn’t.When all of a man’s flaws have been exposed, what is left to look at? any good he may have about him.Nixon’s main flaw was that he thought everybody was out to get him and then everybody got to wondering what he had done wrong. When anyone is president, he or she will do some reprehensible things. They justify their actions by thinking their political survival is necessary to the survival of the nation, way of life or planet.Maybe if everybody hadn’t hated on Nixon, he could have been the warm and fuzzy guy…

(sorry can’t go any further, even if possibly true)
