it’s so sad that every day the strip is as relevant today as when it was first published.

I assume it’s Elwood. Alice is one of my all time faves in this strip. looks and acts a bit like Lacey.

Not to mention the bookcase without a top, with a top and the fact that it disappears in the 3rd and 4th panels

And with the lower wages of this generation, our social security checks will be even smaller, necessitating pooling even more resources. Maybe even living with our kids.

Or just raising the cap on wages subject to FICA taxes. That would do it, too.

If you are checking the backgrounds also note there’s an hour’s gap between the 3rd and 4th panels. Rick was there speaking to her for quite some time. Good way to kill an afternoon and no one will approach him to try to get his attention with her there. A reporter born.
