Harry Truman died in 1972. Boopsie was in college in 1972. How does this reincarnation thing work again?

Trudeau drew it in 1993. Maybe his characters don’t age any faster than Jef Mallett’s do, and Her Boopiness was only 21 at the time.

I think it’s sad that she is blaming herself for this mess…

Harry Truman was the best

Truman couldn’t stay in the White House. It was literally falling apart.

Ever notice that nearly everyone who claims reincarnation if that of either a famous person, or some heroic figure? Did not common people ever make the transition? :)

I can fully understand why the final strip skipped was the one originally from the day before this.

The June 22 strip was a biting satire on how out of touch Hollywood party culture would have been with the American mainstream.

It could also easily be read as homophobic, if not full-on transphobic, in the modern environment.

I like what one movie character had to say about reincarnation (not an exact quote, but you get the picture):“Why are people’s previous lives always Alexander the Great, or Joan of Arc? Why wasn’t anyone ever Shlomo the peasant boy?”

But Truman spent most of his term at Blair House while the WH was gutted. It was at risk of collapsing from previous administrations structural modifications.

Joseph Stalin died in 1953, the year I was born. I think of him when reincarnation comes up in the conversation.
