‘All Hands’ are the most excruciatingly boring events that permies are forced to go to. You’d have to be fairly deluded to build a fantasy around hosting one.
I thought MyVulture was a “real” (well, for this comic’s reality) internet startup BY MIKE in the original boom era. I guess in “reality” it failed during the dot-bomb, and here in the fantasy it was one of the survivors like Monoprice or even Overstock in our reality?
I GOTTA stop reading the comments. My ignorance of all things pop culture is woeful. . .All Hands? Monoprice? Overstock? In my little world, I’m considered a guru because I know how to Google. . .
About 10 squirts of Dawn dish soap and hot water works better than a plunger. Sometimes you don’t even have to use the hot water. Plungers are gross. I learned this courtesy of Martha Stewart.
We had a meeting lately where one of our execs said we were going to leverage our current technology to leverage more productivity out of it*. That’s like saying you’re taking your ’92 Ford Escort that is running on three cylinders to the drag races this weekend.
The unspoken message here is "and if we can’t action the leveraging to get better productivity out of our tech, we’re going to right size* enough of you to a point where we can afford to buy better tech"
I see I’m not the only one who had to suffer through this crap at the Monday morning meeting. Crap. Four simple letters say more than a hundred fancy syllables.
I don’t know about anybody else, but nobody in my family was ALLOWED to do it but mom. She didn’t want anybody to do it wrong and make a mess that she would have had to clean up. Do it right the first time.

Mike was born ready, just like how Beto was born to be in the Presidential race.
