WW II touched virtually every American in some way. The army has a lot of different jobs. Depictions of the war most often focus on those who see combat on the front lines. A lesser theme has been how it changed things for those on the home front. Maybe a book from the POV of someone in the service who didn’t see combat would be interesting. Actually heard interesting podcast on WACs and their work on clearing out backlog of mail from and to soldiers in London. A company clerk might have an interesting perspective on the war as well…
