I think it is hard to see making one copy and giving it to a friend as a crime. Doesn’t copyright infringement have to involve some kind of commercial intent?

It was my understanding it is/was ‘fair use’ if you burned a single copy from a commercial cd but not legal to download a copy. They are suppose to be multi-millionaires so they should be able to afford to buy the British import editions.

In the 70’s we borrowed record albums and made cassette tapes. I’m sure Mike and his friends were not blameless.

Mike’s interactions with Alex are frighteningly reminiscent of mine with my daughter back when she was a teenager.

I think her attitude towards Mike is “Hey,I’ve seen other kids with worse Dads—-so what if he’s dull?”

Could be worse—she could have Zonker for her father!

Interesting what Trudeau was choosing to talk about in 2001 & 2 isn’t ? Pretty much anything except for what was going on. Afraid to deal with the great war on Terror I think. Gee, I wonder how that turned out ? ;-)

In the “good old days”, you just had to nag most kids about posture. :) :(
