My husband is tall enough to put chips above the wall unit in our dining room. I don’t know how many guests can see that stuff up there but I’m short enough not to see any of it. Usually the bottom shelves are fairly safe.
Pet ramps are for small or elderly pets. When my 1st cat started having trouble jumping I got a couple of sets of pet steps. The other two sort of sneered. Then a few years later the next one started using them. Both are gone now, but the young (relatively) cat is now starting to use them. I don’t know about the ramps, but the steps aren’t strong enough for Ralph- except for comic physics.

I’m surprised that the ramp could hold that much weight!

So she’s objecting to Wally not using the ramp, rather than him being on the couch? The ramp is just supposed to make it easier than jumping.

Wally: What, I didn’t need it. See what a big dog I am.

Wait? If you’re going to allow him on the couch, what difference does it make if he JUMPS up or walks up a ramp? Jumping up is better for him.
