I’m even worse. Valentine’s Day is also my wife’s birthday. I forgot to say Happy Birthday.

You’re going to have to buy MORE than a card, Ralph!

It’s a big world. There is always going to be someone better at doing a certain thing than you are.

I saw leftover valentines at a CVS yesterday.

They’re over in the clearance section. Win win!

Yeah, stores don’t stock cards after the end of the holiday. I have that issue every year. Due to distance and schedules, I rarely see my family during the major holidays, but a few weeks later. So I often buy gifts later in order to avoid the crowds and maybe find a good sale. But I have to remember to buy the cards on schedule, because there won’t be any left when I do my shopping.

Restaurants were running dinner specials at only twice the price of regular ones and the lines at the restaurants were out the door. Every store had flower displays right by the door. It’s simply not a holiday that you can miss.

Was Ralph planning on buying a whole shopping cart full?

He forgot Valentine’s Day and didn’t realize it for three days? Guess it also hasn’t occurred to him to ask why his wife hasn’t spoken to him for that same time period.

Do any long-married people really celebrate Valentine’s Day? We don’t.

Sporting goods. A sleeping bag works well on the couch or in the doghouse.

To be fair, it wasn’t really Norman’s fault. He tried to get Wendy to leave, but, she persisted, and Echo’s arrival was just bad timing.
