Nothing beats Bubbe’s brisket.

This reminds me of the Chrismas where my mother decided to decorate the tree with nothing but red and gold balls, with a silver garland. Years later she admited that it was the ugliest tree we ever had. Some things are best left alone.

They just…really, really, like the brisket.

That said, I do feel a little bad for Abby now. I mean, part of it is of her own making, true, but that didn’t mean I wanted to see her something new go completely rejected and, quite possibly, go to waste either.

Look on the bright side, Abby. Tomorrow night’s dinner is already made.

Sadly, since it’s Passover, there’s no bread to sop up the juices in the brisket platter.

If you’re going to change traditions, be sure everyone knows about it before hand. Even if you like oatmeal raisin cookies, it’s a real disappointment if you’re expecting chocolate chips.

It may or may not be awful. Who am I to criticize? Now…no elbows on the table, and watch your manners.

Gotta hand it to Mom. She’s neither gloating nor saying “I told you so!”
