On a newly paved road in the rain and people are doing 70-75 and about 3’ apart from each other. I’m in the right lane and doing 55 and have 100’ from car in front. Luckily others in right lane are sane and being cautious. I got to my destination on time too.
My boss said she was stopped for doing 30 in a 25 zone and blurted, “Don’t you have anything better to do?” This did not help.On the other hand, I went to school with a guy from Iran (1975) who was stopped in the US by a cop who said he was doing 80 in a 55 zone. The Iranian said, “No! I was doing 85!” He told us that if you did that in Iran, the cop would have laughed and let him go, but this American cop did not laugh and gave him a big ticket.

If you get pulled over for speeding he IS serving and protecting… other people from you, you scofflaw!
