You can see what appears to be her shadow on the “cloud” below the ship in the second panel, but in the third panel she’s hitting something above or before the shadow (in the mini-panel.) I wonder if Wally gets to be captain, and if that was what AM was shooting for all along?
She really appears to have dropped into liquid. I bet dittos. We can’t see her face! I bet her face is messed up severely. I like what Bald fat said. That is a great line!THe flat that he landed on shows his shadow right next to it. What was the big zig in panel 2 about? Maybe Petey is just wondering “where did she go”THere was just no way I would go to bed before seeing this!
Dittos? Well, if Flask can into a pack of them and survive, then so can Sparkplug Sanders. And we’ve got to learn about Flask’s back story. So, either Petey will narrate it as a flashback, or Flask will live.
That was not Flask. It was a ditto-Flask. The explosion and backfire was an illusion, but I’m not sure from what point. Probably when Flask pulled the trigger. Nothing really happened, but the AI would have seen Flask go out the window and maybe hit the ground. If her death was convincing, then it would make Wally the captain.
Vote. The friend the Ankh group was sitting with passed this AM, so we are mostly available to vote again. He was a lifelong friend of mine, but this is I guess for the best. I am sure this was a hard choice for his family, and now is the time to remember him before the brain tumor. But I can get lost in voting.
Ok, gun backfire, Flask blown out a window, landing on something that is not solid ground with Petey not able to catch her. Got it. A Flask backstory??? Desireable. Will we get it? Who knows. Aaron seems to be a bit of a sadist in that regard.
I don’t think she’s dead. I think we’ll eventually get her story.
“If Flask was made of dittos, how did she break the glass?”She didn’t. The broken window is part of the illusion. Notice that there’s no pieces of glass on the ground, either.

I’ll admit I’m confused. However, the ship could have used some sort of transporter beam to bring her back to the bridge where the fight will resume.

Illusions, Illusions, who knows reality? But kitty within a suit can not land on her feet - no tail twisting- just as well, maybe.
Was that gun an illusion? What will future events reveal?

She definitely appears to be splashing and vanishing above the ground!

Well, that makes two characters now who’ve disappeared into pools of dittos. No WAY they’ll make an unexpected appearance ever again. >.>
