This will be interesting. Dottie knew that her paper had been hijacked and watched as things spiraled out of control; she’s lost her friends and is completely isolated, and now there’s a psychotically angry wolf trying to get to her. One wonders what she’s thinking about right now… I had assumed a Heroic BSOD but apparently not.
I don’t think Lucas is psychotically angry right now. I think he perceives the wolves are being played and targeted and is looking for help. He tried his friend. He tried Walt. Now he is stuck with Dottie. He just has to convince her before the rats get him. Yes, he is angry they are being targeted. Yes, he is angry the other two wouldn’t help. But I don’t think he is in a rage at Dottie.
That wagon full of piled up bodies is chilling. They may have been rioters but they were also human and there should have been a little more dignity. This reminds me of descriptions I’ve read of dead carts hauling the bodies away during the Black Death or of the pictures of piles of dead bodies in the concentration camps. Endtown is in a bad place.
Wow, they don’t even cover up the bodies with tarpaulin or anything. Guess there’s no time, limited resources and telling that Endtown is truly embroiled in a civil war.
I don’t think Lucas is angry at Dottie. At this point, Dottie might be his only friend(at least in his mind). Unfortunately for Dottie—if Carol’s comment yesterday was correct—the “manifesto” that Lucas put into Dottie’s paper is the reason that the rats are eliminating the wolves (at least the ones in the street): to put down a perceived revolution. If Lucas signed this manifesto, then they’ll be hunting him—and here he shows up at Dottie’s door.

Too bad that he saw that truck load of the dead wolves, his friends go past. If anything would fuel his rage this would be it.

Isn’t there some kind of saying about the wolf being at your door?

The wolf is going to be at Dottie’s door, right along with those chickens coming home to roost…and I don’t think either are coming there to party.

It would be stupid to try to beat down her door. She calls the cops, they tell the rats … Bye-bye Lucas!
Playing on her guilt … well, that might get him in the door.

Not the smartest Wolf. Watch him do something stupid.

Dottie may soon be hanging from a lamp post……remember this paper was her idea.

From Dottie’s choice of phrasing, I’m pretty sure she’s not happy to see this guy again.

I love how Aaron draws that street lamp, in panel two, to look like a question mark.
