Since Foxworthy is in lockup, he cannot possibly be blamed for the fire. When is someone going to be suspicious of (1) the planted evidence in Philo’s apartment and (2) the duplex fire that is “coincidentally” destroying evidence of the victim that might clear him?
Granted, no one yet realizes that the planted evidence is precisely that. Unless Aaron is tossing us a curveball and Foxworthy is guilty! (But I don’t think he is.)
Well, the cops should be wondering about whatever tip sent to the murder scene. It is possible to set a delayed start to fire. Real life firebugs do that so they can get away. So the timing of the fire need not be sufficient. Still, I would argue that it made no sense for Foxworthy to get caught so as to have an excuse for the fire. But this police department is very dim-witted.
I can’t help but wonder how long it will be before one of the real pig murderers slip-up and targets Officer Moffat! He may be a cop, but he’s also a pig, after all…
Portia has already been targeted, but she has her beloved Walt Trimble for protection.
Unless a miracle happens, Moffat and Portia may become the only pigs left in Endtown.
Well, sadly this doesn’t really clear Foxworthy out of suspicion. There’s a well organised pignapper’s ring in Endtown and since he’s the only suspect they have, the police will more than likely assume he has accomplices. Since he won’t be able to provide any information on the ring and lives are at stake, they may quickly resort to less savory methods of interrogation.
I suggest that Aaron may be seeing life a little less glum since this is a more upbeat arc. Or maybe e could tell his audience was getting collectively a bit too depressed. I’m seeing more of the earlier Neatherly wit shining out!
Neathery is from Houston,Texas. If you order his books and get them signed you’ll get his address like I did. I have books 1,2 & 3 with all 3 of them signed, and I’ve kept the envelopes with his address on them, and it’s a P.O. Box (I also have His Home Address, but I ain’t saying nothin’!). It’s really cool to me because I went to Lamar Middle School & Lanier High School in Houston,Tx.

I love that the fireman looks a bit like a Dalmatian.
This is looking like a war.

Foxworthy’ theme: How can you be two places at once when you’re not anywhere at all (or in police custody, whichever).

Hm. Looks like it’s not just the newspaper who has a leak.

I wonder what traces there would have been for the police to find, sadly now ashes. Cooper and his conspirators are not going to be easy to find.

Nothing quite like cleaning up evidence with a little fire.

I gather fires are very rare since they are underground and a fire could foul the air fast.

Ah, but which victim? The one in the alley or the one in the fridge? Hard to keep track of the bodies without a scorecard! ;-)
