The cow obviously doesn’t get out much. It is hitchhiking on the wrong side of the road.

Judging by the stickers on her suitcase, she has done this before, and successfully, too.
On a remote road in Northern California, I saw a cow reclining next to the road with her calf beside her. I could just imagine:
“Oh, Mom. Who’s going to pick up a cow?”
“How do you think I got here five years ago?”
