I am a single parent myself, adopting three kids and raising them myself. So my kids and I never celebrated Mothers Day because I was Dad. I never wanted them to celebrate Fathers Day either. If you could not celebrate all the other days of the year, one day does not matter. I feel the same about Valentines Day too.
