“All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players”
Sums it up pretty good.
I notice Lawrence seems to be of color but cannot remember hearing about his dad much other than Connie and him are separated or divorced. Do we know if he was black or Indian?
Lawrence’s father, Pablo DaSilva, was from Brazil. Connie met him when she was volunteering at a mobile clinic in Ecuador. You can read the story starting at the bottom of Page 23 at this site:
The weather is lovely right now. At least we’ve got seasons to keep things changing…
I’d hate to live somewhere where there’s never any snow, or where the leaves don’t change colours, or where you don’t get to experience those first warmths of spring finally allowing you to see your driveway again and enjoy the spring air that smells of thawing poop.
I think Lynn should also write about these “early days” when they were in University and how they all met, dated, married, etc. etc. That would be fun! :-)
A park in Canada, eh? And they find the weather appropriate for such outings -when?- maybe a couple of weeks in early August? heh heh heh.
-With love from California.
Just so you know, here in BC on the Sunshine Coast many Californians are taking up residence. We live in a beautiful place with good climate. Today we are seeing very warm temperatures 25c+. I prefer it cooler myself, Winters are moderate, and barely any snowfall. I am tired on people who think the weather changes at the border, (I saw saw a car visiting from Florida with a parka hanging in the window), LOL So funny!
BC is a beautiful area for many to retire. Lived there for over 10 years on the Island and Vancouver.
You have to remember that Lynn is also from Ontario, and the weather there, though rainy in the spring, is quite nice from about May through to October. Sometimes there can even be an even earlier spring or extended fall. Loved it in Ontario years ago. Miss the lakes.

Stop slamming Canada. I’ve been there. Nice climate most of the time. Beautiful scenery too.

I believe Lawrence’s dad is from Cuba, or some other Caribbean island…

FishStix, Canada is very lovely in the summer! I’ve been as far north as Kingston in the summer and the weather is lovely that time of year!
Lawrence’s father is from South America if memory serves me correctly.

I’m a Californian who’d dearly love some of the Canadian summer right about now! It was 105 yesterday!

A park in Canada? Isn’t that redundant?
