Maybe next time you’ll mind your own business, Elly!

Maybe that was Jed Willis (no relation to Fred).

But now they know Fred is innocent; otherwise, they would have left the restaurant thinking Fred was a cheater.

John could care less if it wasn’t Fred Willis….he (and every other guy) still thinks she looks hot!

Good thing she found out it wasn’t Fred Willis instead of keeping quiet at the restaurant and telling Fred’s wife that Fred was out with another woman.

I think Elly had the right to be concerned for her friend and it was good she decided to go over even if it was only to find it was not her friend…which was good because that way she would not dwell on it when she goes home and would feel guilty when she sees June again. Now she knows it was not Fred, she can forget it and move on. No harm done. No gossip, either.

Didn’t John think it was Fred too? Guess Elly needs glasses and John needs new glasses!

Happened to me once, kinda. In a restaurant with friends. I have no idea why that lady came up and slapped me silly. I don’t speak Russian.

I’m glad that Fred wasn’t a cheater but I have to admire Elly for standing up for her principles. When faced with a true test many people just sit back and ignore them.

Was Elly squinting her eyes in the first panel because she had trouble seeing? Or did it denote some other emotion?

I’ll tell you what: you just worry about your morality and let me worry about mine. It will save us both a lot of trouble.
