Ohhhh…FIONA is coming. What a fun arc.

I don’t know much of my own parents’ cousins either. Even when I was a little boy, I didn’t have much visits with them either when we (or they) did visit.

“Honey, she’s family!”

“That’s why I’m worried!”

John, that increases the odds I would not get along with her!

Our guests get put up at a nearby hotel.

I would be LIVID! So much work with a new baby and now you have to play HOSTESS???? I get mad enough when my husband invites his German family members to stay for several weeks (in my tiny house). And I haven’t had a baby in 33 years (as of today. Happy Birthday to my daughter!). --Men just don’t get it!

cue the ominous music

You choose your friends, but you are expected to like or even love your family – why?

I suppose this is the Mary Poppins moment we have all be waiting for. Good!

What could possibly go wrong? =)

Haven’t seen family since 2000, my choice.

Lynn’s Comments:

Not wanting the family to settle into a comfortable routine, I decided to introduce the “helpful” relative who shows up to make life easier and winds up making everything a whole lot worse!

Oh god this arc is excruciating, lol. I mean, the character is supposed to be, but I empathize way too much with the Pattersons in this story.

Live will never be the same after Fiona.

Oh man Fiona’s coming.

A very famous movie star is part of my family. Doesn’t mean I would put him up in my home.

OK – those first words out of John’s mouth – Them’s FIGHTING words! What’s the matter with him?

A couple of my relatives were ex-convicts that I had to offer to shoot to keep them from stealing from my Mother and Grandmother. Years ago, all dead now, but some relatives are bad news.

The “Fiona” story arc is a very interesting one. I’m looking forward to reading it again.
