Worked in a restaurant as a busboy. The boss was a woman with a big charm bracelet. Not getting caught hanging around was easy as you could hear her coming from far away and relocate to another hangout spot. Not shirking real work, but make work like polishing the silver.
I want everyone to see and understand my response to Redd Panda. Redd Panda says: @French Persons’ Treasury of Self-Applauding Batty hope you enjoy your new trump tax Remember, no whining, you voted for it.
I want everyone here to understand what a tariff is. It is not a tax on the American people, it is a tax on goods coming into America. Can it causes Americans to pay higher prices? Yes, if you buy the foreign product. Tariff’s are paid for and by the exporter, and not the importer. How does that work?
Let’s say that I am importing something from Canada. The Canadian company charges me $1.00 for the object. I sell it for $3.00 and have a nice profit of $2.00. (oh come on now! you all know that all the stores do this.)
Any way, back to what I am talking about. The US puts a 50% tariff on that object that I purchased. I don’t pay the 50 cents, the company that I am buying from does. My price has not gone up for that sale, because I have a contract. Now, my next order, the company that I buy from tells me that I have to pay $1.50 for the object, but I can buy it here in America for $1.25. I haven’t been doing that, because I made more money buying from Canada. If the Canadian goods are superior, I swallow the 50 cents and buy the product. If the goods are superior in America, I swallow the 25 cents and buy from companies here in America. The Canadian company has to go somewhere else to sell their goods and hope to make a dollar, or take the 50 cent hit. Trust me, it didn’t cost a dollar to make that object. Either way, American made goods can now compete against Canadian goods.
For too long we have been purchasing goods from countries that have slave labor, or countries that subsidize the goods made there, and get the money back from USAID funding. So, yes, I will enjoy your new tax and thank Trump for imposing it. I promise that I won’t be whining. Now, don’t you either.

Today’s comic is kind of gruesome!
In the fourth panel, the green lady stepped on and accidentally squashed a poor little white mouse! Was that really necessary?

The curse or personality of old hardwood floors, depending on how you look at it.

Can’t expect anything but chatter, and then whispered words and giggles from two girls having a sleep over late into the night!

Girl Talk, Girl Talk by President Musk
They like to chat about the dresses they will wear tonight
They chew the fat about their tresses and the neighbor’s fight,
Inconsequential things that men don’t really care to know
Become essential things that women find so ap-pro-pos,
But that’s a dame, they’re all the same it’s just a game they call it
Girl talk, girl talk
