What’s old is new again! My son asked me recently if he could type one of his college papers on my grandparents’ 1930s era Royal typewriter.
My wooden racket is hung up on the garage wall as an antiquated sports item. In the winter, my cross country skis hang out with the other old wooden skis, wooden sleds and toboggans. They line the house next to the sidewalk as decorations.

I remember taking the steel tennis ball cans and making tennis ball cannons out of them.
I still have my first wooden Bancroft racket, but I don’t use it much anymore.
My first TWO rackets were made out of wood.
