a slight miscalculation

Ah water weight. And the reason I’m suddenly thinking of the Adam West Batman movie where they dehydrated the UN rep’s.

LOL! It may take the whole family to carry that thing!

A gallon weighs 8 pounds. 15 × 8 = 120. 120 pounds. Add another pound for the fishies and pump and stuff.

I used to run 5 miles a day. One time I weighed myself before and after the run and figured that the weight loss was entirely due to water. I get 16.4 miles to the gallon.

My last first bowl was plastic floating fish with strings with weights on the end. Very easy to take care of.

Yup. I learned “A pint’s a pound, the world around” when I was young. So I always approximate 1 fl oz water = 1 oz water. Assuming rocks way around the same, you get 120 lbs + the heavy-duty glass tank itself.

I recall that the US gallon was based on the Wine Gallon of Queen Ann(e?), so many cubic inches while the larger Imperial gallon was based on 10 pounds of water. Also if you check metric equivalents, the US fluid ounce is slightly larger than the Imperial one.

“A pint’s a pound, the world around.”Nope, it’s anywhere from $2.22 to $10.86, so minimum 1.69 GBP. :P

That tank is going nowhere until they partially empty it. I hope she bought a good siphon system.
