Meh. “Permanent” markers are surprisingly temporary when you know their weaknesses. Alcohol, such as what’s found in hand sanitizer, is good for getting marker off of several types of surfaces.

I thought that pen looked like a Sharpie.

My middle school wanted us to use pens with ink cartridges. We could buy cartridges with “washable” or “permanent” ink. Most of us had “washable blue”.

This was on an episode of the old “Richard” vanD*k* show. He drew a mustache on his face with laundry marker, and it wouldn’t come off so he covered it with makeup. I think it was the same episode where Laura got her toe stuck in the bathtub faucet in a hotel.
